Hiking route Grand Rû

In this easy itinerary, we go halfway up the hill through the protection forest located above the main village of Bruil (1.723 masl): we leave the hamlet Chanavey (1.686 masl), reach the hamlet Canavesan (1.800 masl) and, after we go up for a while on the right orographic bank of the Dora di  Rhêmes, we cross “Grand Rû”, an irrigation stream originating from Entrelor waterfall. We walk on the flat for about 1,5 km along the above mentioned stream, we descend to the hamlet of Chaudanne (Broillaz) (1.820 masl) and reach soon after the gorgeous lake Pellaud, close to the village of the same name. We then follow the  nature trail of the Gran Paradiso National Park on the valley floor and we finally go back to the starting point.
