Valley of Sort - Entrelor

We start walking on the orographic right side of the Valley of  Rhêmes, above the main village of Bruil (1.723 masl). After about 20 minutes we reach the irrigation stream called “Grand Rû” at 1.852 masl, where the loop trek shown in the attached map starts. We go uphill through the protection forest above the main village and then into the valley of Sort, until we reach  the hut of the Gran Paradiso National Park at 2.294 masl. We take the path going up this wide and wild valley, characterized by scree and moraines, until we get to the ruins of the alpine hut of Sort (2.248 masl) first, where we have our packed lunch, and then to the pass situated on the watershed ridge separating the valleys of Sort and Entrelor. From the pass, we follow the trail going on the opposite side to the mountain pasture called Plan di Feye (2.390 masl), where we take the regional track AV2 to the plain where the alpine hut Entrelor is situated. We leave this beautiful valley behind and get back to the starting point walking through the conifer forest previously described.
